May we introduce to you the all-new Atlantis Logistics Center – single-floor logistics complex designed to service product groups that require a special storage temperature control. The Center has started its operations in February 2007, and is now offering a variety of services including storage, transportation and packaging for the wide range of goods produced in Ukraine as well as abroad. Logistic solutions offered by the Center also include Customs clearance and forwarding, as well as one of the most popular and relevant services – cross-docking.
A number of leading European cold store engineers, including Finnish famous HUURRE FINLAND, were involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of Atlantis Logistics Center project. When designing the Center, the specialists were aiming not only at ensuring that customers are served with the best quality storage and delivery product, but also at making sure that as many in-house processes are delivered free-of-cost to the client.
The all-new Atlantis Logistics Center has a number of substantial advantages, one of which is its superb location. The Center is situated on the Stolychne highway, just 2 km away from capital’s main traffic arteries, at the intersection of region’s most important cargo crossroads. It can easily be reached from any area within Ukrainian capital and beyond.
The Center’s auto terminal has 9 000 sq.m. of space to accommodate for up to 100 trucks. For the purposes of processing the trucks with different tonnage, Atlantis provides separate transshipping zones. The Center’s roof-covered railway platform enables simultaneous handling of five railway cars of 220 tons each.
Atlantis Logistics Center specialists have been successful in reaching the fastest possible turnover speed of vehicle handling currently shown in Ukraine. For example: the unloading of a 220-ton palleted cargo from a railway car is completed in just under 1 hour, and the loading (or unloading) of a 20-ton palleted auto cargo takes under 15 minutes. To help increase its processing speed, the Center utilizes “TOYOTA” electric loaders with 1.8 tons raised-load carrying capacity.
A significant portion of Atlantis Logistics Center area is occupied by its refrigerated storage facilities. These are licensed and bonded refrigerated storage facilities consisting of 500 tons warehouse.
Atlantis’s refrigerated facility currently has no analogies in Ukraine. With the use of carbonic acid refrigerating medium instead of ammonia, Atlantis truly pioneers among the CIS countries. The use of carbonic acid rules out any risk of damaging the goods or any injury to facility’s personnel.
The first-class refrigerating equipment by Grasso, Grunter, Bitzer provides thermal storage between –25 and +12 centigrade degrees. Even at +36 degrees outside temperature, inside the cold store the temperatures remain at –25 to –18 centigrade degrees. It pretty much guarantees the extended and high-quality storage life of the product.
Every square meter of the storage space at Atlantis Logistics Center is put in its most effective use. The storage room height allows for a three-tier stockpiling of up to 1.5 tons of goods. The Center remains the only warehouse terminal in Ukraine to store up to 15 000 tons of stockpiled goods at –25 centigrade degrees. One of the significant advantages of Atlantis Logistics Center is its ability to suite for the biggest and most functional handling cold store in Ukraine. Its advantage lies in providing the assembler with the quality access to the stored goods for subsequent delivery to the customer. The handling storage can handle 3 123 pallet-places at –18 degrees, and 4053 pallet-places at –4 to +4 centigrade degrees.
